This one of a kind, solo exhibition, by artist and scientist Dr. Jaideep Mathur, is a testimony of his love of plants; fascination with colours, flowing water, the play of light and patterns; and the notion of blurring the boundaries between inner and outer spaces.

Even though the intricate paintings are inspired and informed by Jaideep’s microscope-based observations of living plant cells, his scientific expeditions in the Himalayas, and extensive global travels have added layers to his impressions. Every painting combines impressions with fantasy and is painted in the studio, without the aid of any recorded images.
